In addition to these specialties, she has extensive experience working with a wide range of challenges, including OCD, relationship concerns, and general life stress and transitions. • Dr. Kloep earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in communications from Saint Louis University. She went on to earn her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Southern Illinois University, completing clinical training in hospitals, outpatient clinics, community mental health, and private practice settings. Throughout her graduate school career she pursued both research and clinical experiences focused particularly on PTSD and trauma reactions. She completed her predoctoral internship as well as postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan/Veteran’s Affairs Hospital consortium in Ann Arbor, Michigan where she continued her focus and grew her specialty in treating PTSD and trauma related disorders. In the years following, Dr. Kloep has worked in VA hospitals as well as in private practice. She completed the Prolonged Exposure consultant training program. She is licensed in Washington, Florida, and Tennessee and is authorized to practice telehealth in all PSYPACT states.

  • Dr. Kloep is passionate about catering treatment to the individual while utilizing evidence-based approaches, exercising flexibility within fidelity. She integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as her primary approach and utilizes a number of evidence-based therapies, including Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Treatment with Dr. Kloep begins with building the therapeutic alliance, psychoeducation, and foundational skill building that generalizes across presenting concerns. This is often followed with more specific interventions catered to each client’s specific concerns and goals. Throughout treatment, Dr. Kloep aims to assist clients in building insight and self-awareness.

  • Outside of the therapy room, Dr. Kloep enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and golden doodle Riley. She loves reading and learning new skills, often trying her hand at different hobbies.
